Dawn Stilwell for Town Council

Practical leadership.
A voice
that listens.

Petrolia is home. I’m ready to bring my experience, ask the questions that matter, and follow through for our community.

What matters for Petrolia

Good questions.
Thoughtful decisions.

Council decisions affect the services we rely on, how tax dollars are spent, and how our town grows. Here’s where I’ll focus.

Fiscal oversight

Carefully review costs and progress on major capital projects. Ask what we can afford today—and what decisions will cost us in the years ahead.

Responsible growth

Ask informed questions about drainage, infrastructure, mature trees, and green space as new development moves forward.

Clear communication

Help residents understand bylaws and council decisions, know how to participate, and get a response when they raise a concern.

A councillor is one of seven votes. I will listen, do the homework, and vote responsibly.

Meet your neighbour

Petrolia is where
I’ve built my life.

I moved here in 1997 and raised my family here. It’s where I’ve built my business, volunteered, and formed the friendships that make a town feel like home.

Running Mediatopia and serving in board leadership have given me practical experience with budgets, policy, accountability, and working through competing priorities.

I’m running to put that experience to work for Petrolia—and to strengthen the connection between Council and the people it represents.

My commitment to you

You’ll know
where I stand.

You may not agree with every vote I cast. But you will know that I listened, considered the information, and made the decision I believed best served Petrolia.

When you contact me, I will respond.

When I say I will follow up, I will follow up.

When something cannot be done, I will be honest about why.

A community perspective

“Dawn is someone who listens to learn. She takes the time to understand different perspectives, asks insightful questions, and contributes in a way that helps move conversations forward.”
